Purpose and value

ProvableCORE links a result to data versions and evidence of how it was produced. It helps specialists understand a report’s origin and check whether its record matches the stated result.

What we have developed

Components check content, Merkle-tree inclusion proofs and checkpoint signatures. A service reads and verifies permitted records.

Supporting evidence

Tests cover altered content, invalid proofs and incomplete evidence. A separate checking component has a recorded successful CI run for its pinned version.

Use today

Verification components exist in the group’s technology environment. Verifiable receipts for every TerraScore report are not yet established.

Application considerations

Record integrity and scientific correctness are distinct properties. Cryptographic checks work alongside checks of sources, methods and data completeness.

Future applications

Potential TerraScore uses include report version history, traceable result packages and independent comparison of calculations with their sources.

Practical application

An institutional reviewer can compare the report identity, source dates and evidence references. Missing measurements remain missing; a receipt cannot replace them.
